What do I do if my child comes home with nits?

When a child has head lice or nits a pack is sent home to all members of the class affected.  The pack is self explanatory and involves the child or children in no embarrassment or censure.

In cases of any infestation parents are contacted and asked to keep their child at home to treat their hair until all traces of the infestation are removed.

In exceptional circumstances school will telephone home and request removal of the child until their hair is clear to avoid any unnecessary embarrassment.
